This 7-week course will focus on strategic aspects of technology management. It is assumed that the participants on the course are familiar with the basic concepts that have been discussed in your Technology and Society course. We will discuss in details some of the practical aspects and issues related to technology management, such as, creativity, innovation eco-system, product platform and modularity, timing of product introduction, business model innovation, and intellectual and property rights. The pedagogic method will include lectures, and class discussions. The grading will be done based on home assignments and a final exam.
