Additional information

Students must read the instructions in Moodle and develop an idea and plan for their projects. After that the student sends an email to the instructor with the idea to decide if the project is adquate for this course.

-After the idea is accepted, students participating in the implementation of this course will have an initial meeting to receive ideas on how to implement their projects.
-During the course, students will interact in forums in Moodle presenting their advances and giving each other feedback.
-After the project is done, students will present their projects to other students in the course and the instructor.
-Students will submit a final written version of the projects.

All students must participate in the presential meetings and in the forums.

The student must: enroll in the Moodle page and complete the tasks following the instructions. meet with the teacher one time at the beggining and end of the project (4 hours total). be able to research indendependently with the guidance of the instructor be able to create a report of his/her project.

Learning Outcomes

After completing this course succesfully, students will be able to identify the effect of culture on the subject of their project. Students will be able to research and apply major theories of intercultural communication to analyze their subject and draw conclusions. Students will also conclude with possible suggestions to solve or improve the topic of their project. E.g. suggestion to adapt in a foreign country, solutions for challenges in cross-cultural collaboration challenge, or new opportunities to improve performance of a group or a product. The content of this course will vary according to the interest of the participants. Students can choose the topic for the project work course and they are expected to work independetly with support of the lecturer. The idea for the project has to be accepted by the lecturer before the start of the course. The student must meet with the teacher of the course once at the beginning and once at the end of the project.The participants in the course will interact in three forums during the project. The projects of the students can be focused on the: -academic world in the university or other educational environments. -working world -social life -insertion of companies, products or services in foreign cultural environment. Students can use theories they have used in previous courses in intercultural communication and will research new theories for their specific projects.
