Passed design exercises, numbers 1 and 3, and exam. The exam may take place only after the exercises have been approved. |
Learning Outcomes
The student can design the frame constructions and foundations of both reinforced concrete and precast concrete buildings after having completed the study module. In addition to the knowledge of the real behaviour of the structure, the student can apply the theory from the regulations and instructions of the standard EN 1992-1-1 in both the ultimate limit state and the serviceability limit state. In detail, the student identifies notably the significance of local compression, torsion and construction joints at both the design stage and the construction stage. The student can also design the stiffening structures of precast buildings. Furthermore, he/she understands the stresses at joints as well as the principles of the behaviour of the joints. In addition, the student understands the significance of the tolerances of the precast element building. When it comes to the exercises, the student works as a member of a design group and therefore bears the responsibility for the success of the work.
