Osaamistavoitteet

After completing the course, students will have the necessary basic knowledge of aerobic and anaerobic biological treatment processes. They will master the basic principles, terminology, reactor configurations, and related calculations of both processes, which will enable them to proceed to advanced levels in the field.

1. Basic principles, design, and operation of aerobic and anaerobic biological wastewater treatment, with emphasis on metabolic processes, microbial dynamics, mass balance, kinetics, reactors configuration, and sludge treatment and disposal
