Learning Outcomes

After the course, students will be able to recognize and identify the different functional groups in organic molecules, as well as their reactivity. Students will know the most common reactions of the most common functional groups and will be able to design syntheses of small organic molecules. This course also aims to support other more advanced organic chemistry courses.

Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes

The students are highly encouraged to be present at all learning events, and follow the material taught in the lectures in the textbook. Students can get points that will be added to their exam marks by solving the exercises in the weekly exercise sessions.
