Description

During this course, students focus on learning and practicing intercultural competencies that enhance collaboration among individuals from different cultures and in multicultural teams. Students will be able to identify the advantages and challenges encountered frequently in the intercultural workplace in today's globalized world. Students will analyze real cases of challenges that employees, employers and companies have faced while working in an intercultural workplace or a cultural foreign environment.

Students will be able to:

describe the elements that influence the cultural diversity in an intercultural workplace
identify intercultural competencies in the workplace
contrast the similarities and differences between local, national and corporate culture
distinguish different strategies to solve conflicts across cultures
apply strategies to form and set multicultural (virtual) teams
define leadership modes to manage multicultural teams

Numerical evaluation scale (0-5)

Requirements

A minimum attendance of 80% is compulsory. The student also must complete the individual and team tasks assigned in the course.
