Learning Outcomes
The purpose of the project work is to train students in mathematics. The project work may contain literature research, mathematical modelling, numerical computation and simulation with mathematical tool programs. Project work can be carried out by a single student or as group work. The student gains experience in planning, carrying out and reporting a project that makes use of his/her previously learned mathematical knowledge and skills.
Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes
The criteria vary for each individual project, and are specified in a written plan (a list of deliverables with schedule) that is agreed with the instructor at the beginning of the project.
