Active participation in the lectures, written homeworks (lecture diary) and literature study or simulation project. For doctoral students, the scope of homeworks and project is more advanced compared to MSc students. See detailed requirements on the course www-page.

The Moodle area of the course is used for editing and submitting the lecture diary, as well as for feedback from the teachers.

Learning Outcomes

After passing this course, the students have good understanding on the potential, requirements, use cases and core enabling technologies of future 5G mobile communication networks. Particular emphasis is on the wireless communications physical layer and radio system/network aspects, including ** advanced waveforms ** massive MIMO ** advanced duplexing solutions including full-duplex ** radio frame and other numerology aspects ** network densification and ultradense networks
