Description
This course focuses on the operating principles of radio transmitters and receivers used in all modern communication devices such as smart-phones, base-stations, WLAN access points, satellite systems, broadcasting systems, etc. Main focus is on understanding the behavior, operation and key performance measures of the most critical analog/RF and digital electronics modules, and the underlying analog and digital signal processing principles.

Requirements
Exam about generic core contents of the course. Mandatory exercises or small projects about advanced topics.Grading is based on the exam and quility of the exercise and project returns.
Additional information of course implementation
Advanced course, mainly intended for doctoral studies but can certainly be studied also in the MSc phase. The course is lectured every second year, next time during fall 2018.
