Learning Outcomes

After the course the student has a grasp of some of the most influential or innovative urban planning ideas throughout history, as expressed in certain chosen classic readings. The student has been able to analyze the ideas expressed in one or some of the books in an essay/research paper, from a contemporary viewpoint.

1. General knowledge about the chosen influential urban planning ideas and their meaning.  Understanding the influence of chosen planning ideas during their time and today.   Knowledge of the specific theory and idea formulation behind the chosen planning text/texts. 

Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes

Active participation in lectures/introductions, weekly readings, sessions of discussions. Evaluation is based on a written essay/research paper and participation in the discussions.

Evaluation scale passed/failed will be used on the course

Partial passing:

Completion parts must belong to the same implementation
