Kuvaus
The course aims to teach participants the fundamentals of organic and printed electronics, i.e. is distinct from seminar courses that focus on current research topics.
Key topics include the fundamental chemistry and physics or organic electronic materials, key devices (OLEDs, OPV, diodes, transistors, power storage), key fabrication processes (printing, patterning, coating) as well as special aspects of organic electronic circuits, systems and applications.
Key learning outcome is that participants should have a sufficiuent grasp of the field to either begin own research or read current literature with critical understanding.

Lisätietoja toteutuksesta
The course content is based on the textbook "Organic and Printed Electronics: Fundamentals and Applications" (Ganz, Lupo, Nisato, eds.) published 2016 by Pan Stanford, and on additional lecture notes, handouts and literature. In addition to lectures and exercises, there will be some laboratory exercises in which the students make and characterize e.g. organic solar cells or organic LEDs.
