Students will be accepted to the course according to the time of sign-up and priority will be given to TUT students, for whom the course is compulsory.
Places in the course will be distributed as follows:
- 18 students from degree programmes in Finnish
- 14 students from international master's degree programmes
Exchange students will be accepted to the group only on a space-available basis.

Osaamistavoitteet
This course develops students intercultural communication skills through short lectures and practical exercises. The multicultural groups consist of both local and international students, which allows the students to learn and practice intercultural communication with each other in each class and teamwork. Students will be able to: - Apply major intercultural theories and frameworks to understand differences between cultures and their communication patterns. - Recognize features of their own cultural values, assumptions and culturally specific behavior. - Identify the essential elements of intercultural competence in cross-cultural collaboration. - Independently explore and analyze critical incidents in social, professional or academic settings.
