More particularly, the course focuses on the following topics:
Methods for improvement project management
- DMAIC links together Lean Six Sigma tools to a result-driven project management method
- e.g.: DMAIC, Project charter, SIPOC map
Qualitative tools to understand business processes
- practical tools for process mapping, value analysis, and risk analysis
- e.g.: Value Stream Map, Fishbone Diagram, Potential Problem Analysis
Quantitative tools to understand variation in the processes
- analytical tools focused on understanding variation and problems in processes
- e.g. : ANOVA, Capability analysis, Gage R&R
Methods to achieve a real change in processes
- focus on how to sustain the achieved improvements
- e.g.: Control plan, improvement tools
Learning Outcomes:
After taking the course, the student will be able to
