Osaamistavoitteet

The seminar covers comprehensively a yearly changing and current topic of civil engineering with lectures, guest lectures and seminar presentations. The research methods and scientific publication forums common for the considered field of civil engineering are explored. At the same time, a connection between students, lectures and engineers is created. The needs of both degree, post doc and further education are combined. Student is able to 1) find realible, relevant and valid information sources 2) evaluate the applicability of the research methods, choose and apply suitable methods for his/her research problem 3) evaluate critically and present results and information 4) write a clear and logic technical report or academic publication using proper language 5) present his/her own research orally 6) assess and comment other students¿ written and oral presentations.

Ohjeita opiskelijalle osaamisen tasojen saavuttamiseksi

The research on publications in the trade and a written and oral presentation of a literature survey or own research results and opponenting of others¿ presentations form the essence of the studies.
