Learning Outcomes

Student can explain the interaction mechanisms of ionizing radiation at keV energies in water and metals. Student can recognize the differences between radiations arising from accelerators and radioactive isotopes. Student can also explain how these two types of radiation are produced. The student can explain the principle of an X-ray tube and the modes of information in different X-ray imaging processes. He/she is able to make the distinction between different CT algorithms.
