The course gives an overview of most important processes and describe the preparation of essential precursors and intermediates in modern industrial organic chemistry.

Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes
The course consists of 8 lectures and 4 seminars. Every student must give a presentation on a selected topic during seminars. The course grade will be based on an exam. If the student demonstrates thorough understanding of the core content, s/he may pass the course with the grade 3. In order to achieve higher grade, the student should demonstrate competency in the points specified as "Complementary knowledge" and "Specialist knowledge".
