Learning Outcomes
After finishing the course, the student understands the basics of extrusion and various polymer moulding techniques. Student is able to select the most suitable processing technique for a given application. The student knows the basics of the extrusion die and injection mould design and is able to solve simple problems related to the designs. The competence of the student is evaluated by homework and exams.

Instructions for students on how to achieve the learning outcomes
The course grade forms mainly from the grade of the final exam or midterm exams. The student also needs to do 1/3 of the homework (4 out of 12) and to do a report about a given topic. The student is able to earn extra points for the course by doing more than the minimum amount of homework and by getting a good grade from the report. The extra points can raise the course grade by one.
