Learning Outcomes
After completing this course, a student understands fundamentals of life cycle assessment and its application to several topics in energy and environmental engineering. A student is familiar with the 4 essential steps of LCA, different types of LCA, data inventories, environmental indicators commonly used in energy and environmental engineering, open source and licensed LCA software. Student develops LCA analytical thinking skills and is able to perform an LCA study on a defined topic.
