The student is able to: - explain the terminology of processes related to the different levels of genetic information from DNA to proteins - Understand the processes related to gene expression and function in bacterial cells - associate various cellular events and environmental perturbations to gene expression and changes is phenotype and metabolism - explain terminology used in the field of synthetic biology
