Kuvaus

The course focuses on continous fibre reinforced composite materials, i.e. advanced composites. The emphasis is to make students learn analyzing of the efficiency of composites and composite structures by different material models. The raw materials, manufacture methods, hybrids and design procedures are surveyed alongside.

Lisätietoja toteutuksesta

The students are required to have basic knowledge of mechanics of materials before entering the course. In detail, fundamentals of elasticity and the classical beam bending theory are necessary as prerequisites.
