This 7-week course will focus on strategic aspects of technology management. It is assumed that the participants on the course are familiar with the basic concepts that have been discussed in Technology and Innovation Management course. We will discuss in detail some of the practical aspects and issues related to technology management, such as, creativity, innovation ecosystem, product platform and modularity, timing of product introduction, business model innovation, and intellectual and property rights. The course consists of six 45-minute lectures, 6 case exercises, and 6 case workshops. Attendance is compulsory in 5 lectures and 5 case workshops. The grading will be based on the case exercises. There is no final exam.
