Osaamistavoitteet
After completing the course the student can define the term 'neuroinformatics' and can name the different subfields of neuroinformatics. The student can list the main methodology used in neuroinformatics and the main application areas. The student will also be familiar with some of the existing freely available tools commonly used in neuroinformatics and will obtain user experience of at least one tool. The student can also indicate the drawbacks of existing tools and potential future needs for further development of computational and informatics tools in neuroscience. The student is able to write, based on the exercise, a summary about one state-of-the-art methodology or tool developed in the field of neuroinformatics.
