This course will combine and further educate all the previous knowledge from medical devices (materials, R&D, regulations and product registrations, marketing, risk assessment and budgeting) by completing the typical R&D process of medical device with as practical and real life methods and rules as possible. Students will work in their own product development groups and go through the needed steps from the idea to a real medical device.

Along with the performed R&D process and all related phases and tasks, this course will heavily concentrate on creating strategies for a profitable business and practicing how to create marketing pitch promoting your idea. Because of that, we will also practice presentation and negotiation skills and tactics along the course.

Course will contain one 3-hours lecture and one 1-hour project meeting per week, along with all the self-studies and additional work in the project groups.

All the lectures, assignments, project group meetings and seminars are compulsory. Accepted written reports and accepted oral and written final reports requested.
