Knowledge management (KM) comprises a range of strategies and practices used in an organization to identify, create, represent, distribute, and enable adoption of insights and experiences. Inherent part of those insights and experiences is knowledge, either embodied in individuals or embedded in organizations as processes or practices. Focus of this course is organizational, concentrating on how an organization can be designed to facilitate knowledge processes. This course provides a student an ability to understand the connection between KM and strategic management. Focal theme in this course is organizational learning as a vehicle to gain competitive advantage for the company.

Mandatory course credit requirements: participating in a pre-course survey and passing the individual and group exercises presented in the course's pages in Moodle learning management system.

Lisätietoja toteutuksesta

KM course is for master phase students, carried out in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment with students from several universities. The course language is English. The execution of the course is hybrid, i.e. there are both classroom learning and distance learning (100%) options available. The students have the possibility to design their attendance between these two options. The learning is supported with Moodle-course management system, video captures of lectures and additional support mechanisms. The requirements for credits of this KM course include compulsory individual and group exercises with time constraints.
