Course objectives
Introduction to Quantum Logic Theory
Content of the course
The course deals with algebraic, combinatorial and measure-theoretic questions of orthomodular posets (called quantum logics by the interpretation in physics). The problems pursued are mostly mathematical by their character. The contents presented amount from basic notions and constructions to recent results of the Prague seminar. Key words: Orthomodular poset(lattice), compatibility relation, Boolean algebra, the lattice of projections in a Hilbert space, logics associated with prehilbert spaces, state (i.e. measure) on a logic, noncommutative probability.
