Course objectives
The course focuses on the principles and theory of spread spectrum communications with an emphasis on CDMA.
Content of the course
Issues to be covered include e.g principles of SS techniques, types of SS techniques, SS based multiple access, CDMA channels and signature sequences, sequence design principles and implementation, spreading code acquisition, and tracking principles, mean acquisition time analysis, detection performance analysis of single- and multi-user systems in various channel conditions, diversity reception, characteristics of mobile channel, multiuser detection and other advanced methods for acquisition and detection.
