1. | Learning the process of preparing a Master's Thesis. Understanding the Scope of the thesis. | Good practises of the writing process and the arrangements relating to the Master's Thesis. | Familiarisation of a number of other Master's Theses in the same major subject area as the student. The theses often discuss the state-of-the-art technology of their field. |
Requirements for completing the course
Attending the seminar six times or passing an oral exam of a handbook of technical writing.
Assessment criteria
Attendance in the seminars is recorded and a sufficient amount of times attended is required to pass the course. An alternative to this is the oral exam of the course book of which the first 100 pages are relevant. The oral exam controls that the student has read the book and understands the steps and some details about preparing a major technical document.
