Objectives
Advanced studies about a selected topic in the area of next-generation networking. Content varies in different implementation rounds. Pay attention to the table of contents.

4. Wireless local area networks (WLAN) technical issues and design goals; Standardization of IEEE 802.11; Services and technical descritption of IEEE 802.11 WLAN; HIPERLAN/1 and HIPERLAN/2; WLAN Internet.       
5. Wide/Metropolitan Area Networks: Spectrum issues; WiMAX: what is, strategy, standards, ongoing work; IEEE 802.16, ETSI HIPERMAN, HIPERACCESS; IEEE 802.20; Throughput, scalability and QoS; Interoperability; Ad hoc networks: History of ad-hoc networks; Cellular and ad-hoc networks; Applications of ad-hoc wireless networks; Challenges in ad-hoc wireless networks; Wireless ad hoc Internet.
