Objectives
To acquire advanced knowledge of the RF building blocks and architectures of modern wireless communication receivers and transmitters. New and challenging architectures along with their tradeoffs and sophisticated circuit-level block implementations are discussed.

Contents
Content Core content Complementary knowledge Specialist knowledge
1. Advanced receiver and transmitter architectures with their pros and cons.
2. Study of various circuit-level implementations of RF communication circuits: Oscillators, low-noise amplifiers, mixers, power amplifiers and others.
3. Circuit analysis and design with CAD products such as PSpice and Cadence.
4. RF measurement specifics using a spectrum analyzer, VCO/PLL signal analyzer, network analyzer and other instruments.
