Tavoitteet
GOALS AND CONTENTS: The purpose of the course is to provide basic elements
for understanding African architecture by exploring the contribution of
African philosophies and religions on the built environment. The course
will focus on three major topics: Definition of African architecture, traditional
architecture, concepts and origins of African cities.
Tutkintovaatimukset
REQUIREMENTS: Participation in seminar lectures, exercise and writing
personal essay on a chosen topic.

LITERATURE: To be specified during the seminar.

LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION: The lectures will be in English and the essay
could be written in English or French.
