Content of the course
Course is an overview to different plastic optical materials, their synthesis and properties. The development of plastic optical fibre manufacturing methods, especially extrusion and preform drawn process is discussed. Main application fields in lighting, sensors and communication applications are introduced.
Requirements
Acceptance criteria are participation in teamwork and personal literature survey on a selected application.
