Content of the course
Course covers the basic environmental degradation mechanisms of corrosion and wear. Electrochemical nature of aqueous corrosion, mechanisms and forms of corrosion and wear, corrosion and wear in selected enviroments, basic of corrosion and wear prevention, high temperature corrosion and wear in gaseous atmospheres, and failure case histories.
