Content of the course
Compression methods for digital transmission and storage of video. The functional blocks of a modern video compression system with emphasis on signal processing aspects. Application of video compression algorithms in International standards (e.g. MPEG, H.263) and in practical video applications (digital TV, video phone, internet video).
