Objectives
To clarify physical principles, methods and devices of medical imaging.

Content

1. System approach to medical imaging. Image quality parameters. Image formation based on interactions of imaging energy and tissue in a planar and tomographic imaging.       
2. X-ray imaging methods and devices.        
3. Nuclear medicine.        
4. Ultrasound imaging.        
5. Magnetic resonance imaging.       

Requirements for completing the course
Final exam on the Internet (80%) and seminar work and oral presentation (20%).
