Objectives
To introduce students practical strategic management issues of a multinational company by using a computerized business simulation program.

Requirements for completing the course
Requirements include succesfully completed management of Multinational Company, creation of business plans and company presentation in groups plus two individual rules quizzes.

Evaluation criteria for the course

  • The course is grade based on both group work (company performance, business plans and company presentations) and individual quizzes of the Intopia world.

  • Used assessment scale is numeric (1-5)

    Principles and starting points related to the instruction and learning of the course

  • Students form groups (3 -4 members in a group) which run a MNC for eight quarters. Before each individual quarter firms will have an industry trade journal (Gazette) describing the possible conditions in the industry during the coming quarter(s). A Gossip, which provides information and feedback from the last quarter, will be delivered after each quarter. Because of ¿learning by doing¿ effect learning takes place effectively.
