Objectives
After the course the student should be able to complete the most common safety and reliability analyses and be able to conduct safety and reliability analyses in industry.

1. Definitions and concepts of reliability, failure mechanisms in mechanical systems, identification of failing mechanisms. System reliability. Different kind of safety and risk analysis.        

Requirements for completing the course
Taking part to seminar and acceptably passed exercises.

Evaluation criteria for the course

  • An exam based on literature, a study report, mathematical problem solving.

  • Used assessment scale is numeric (1-5)
