Objectives
Course provides basic understanding of post-graduate studies and scientific and applied research. After the course students are able to find a research problem, review literature, and prepare an initial plan for post-graduate studies and research. Students will also have basic knowledge on reserach methods.

    Remarks

    The course is organized by the Department of Information Technology and is compulsory for post-graduate students in signal processing. Students applying to the post-graduate program should take this course no later than during the first year of their post-graduate studies. The Web-based implementation allows students to pass the course at any time during the academic year. The students can be officially accepted to the program only after passing this course. The course is also recommended for MSc students aiming at working in R&D projects in industry.
