Additional information about prerequisites
None. But the student is assumed to have willingness to cross engineering disciplines. The course suits well for students coming from different backgrounds: automation, electrical, mechanical and environmental engineering, biotechnology or materials science.
Remarks
Distance learning
- In information distribution via homepage, newsgroups or mailing lists, e.g. current issues, timetables
- In distributing and/or returning exercise work, material etc
- In the visualization of objects and phenomena, e.g. animations, demonstrations, simulations, video clips
- Contact teaching: 65 %
- Distance learning: 5 %
- Proportion of a student's independent study: 30 %
The presence at the lectures is recommended as there is not available a uniform book suitable for microfluidics studies. Lectures utilize available microfluidic portals, animations and other material available in the web.
Excercises are obligatory and are performed in a PC class. A report analysing the results may be required.
Exam is written on given dates.
