1. The aim of the course is to improve students¿ability to design public buildings.The exercise is an extensive urban-structural design concretized at the level of building design. Total volume is about 10 000-30 000 squaremeters.
 
     

Requirements for completing the course
Independent work on exercise project, seminars/studio meetings every 1-2 weeks, final critique. No lectures in English.

Evaluation criteria for the course

  • The exercise projects will be evaluated in the final critique session.

  • Used assessment scale is numeric (1-5)

  • Prerequisites
    Prequisite relations (Sign up to TUT Intranet required)

    Additional information about prerequisites
    ARS-4306 or corresponding knowledge in architectural design and public buildings.

    Remarks

    The course runs parallel with course ARS-4500 in Finnish.

  • Partial passing of course must be in connection with the same round of implementation.
