Objectives
Student can compute motions and internal forces of structures loaded by time-dependent forces using analytical and numerical methods.

Content

1. The finite element modelling of discrete and continuous systems. Numerical methods for solving the eigenvalue problem of natural vibration of structures. The normal mode method for computing steady state and transient responses of structures. Direct integration methods. Moving loads on a beam.
