Objectives
Student knows the basics of the mechanical behaviour of laminated plates and shells. More over student is able to analyse composite structures.

Content

1. Analysis and optimization of laminated fiber-reinforced composites. The basic constitutive equations of ortotropic material. Fundamentals of macro and micromechanical theory of ply. Tension, compression and bending problems of laminated structures.

Exercises and a written examination.
