Objectives
Course provides basic understanding of post-graduate studies and scientific and applied research. After the course students are able to find a research problem, review literature, and prepare an initial plan for post-graduate studies and research. Furthermore, students will have basic knowledge on research methods.

Additional information related to course
The course is organized by the Department of Information Technology and is compulsory for post-graduate students in Digital and Computer Systems. Students applying for the post-graduate program should take this course no later than during the first year of their post-graduate studies. The students can be officially accepted to the program only after passing this course (no later than one year after applying). The course is also suitable for MSc students aiming at working in R&D projects in industry.
The course is given in English.
