Objectives
The course aims to activate the students¿ oral communication skills in a professional context. Students will develop the language and skills needed for communicating in a variety of professional situations: small-talk and socializing skills, functioning in meetings and negotiations, giving a professional presentation, use of the telephone and exchange of information and a general target is to make the students communicate more spontaneously in unrehearsed pair and groupwork role-plays and simulations.

Requirements for completing the course
Regular attendance; active participation in exercises; giving a high quality professional presentation.
Evaluation criteria for the course
Continuous assessment based on performance, attendance and level of activity in the class exercises, performance of the professional presentation and general level and also development of oral skills during the course.
There is no written test for this course.
Used assessment scale is numeric (1-5)

Principles and starting points related to the instruction and learning of the course
Students should already have participated in university level courses in English (basic courses) and have an existing competence in spoken English skills.
The course is task based and uses a communicative approach and role-play and simulation as the basic methodology.
