Objectives
The objective of this course is to learn the essential concepts of RF and microwave electronics. The student shoud learn the basic definitions and concepts relating to high frequency design. From that on the student can build a firm understanding of how active and passive RF circuits function.

1. Practical use of transmission line theory.  Microstrips    
2. Impedance matching using e.g. the Smith chart.       
3. Description of linear multiport networks.  Signal flow charts.    
4. RF and microwave resonators and filters implementations.  Filter design.    

Requirements for completing the course
Students collect points from various tasks that contribute to learning (homework, attending lectures, weekly tests, project work, final exam, course feeback, etc.) There will be a minimum number of points for passing the course, e.g., 50 out of 100.
