Objectives
Teach students to go beyond text books and to study scientific literature in molecular biology and biotechnology with special emphasis on eukaryotes.

1. | Students will study literature in trends in eukaryotes biotechnology and present what they have learned from molecular evolution techniques and applications of nucleic acids, modification of proteins and their applications in measurements and related studies. The first part consists on 16 hours of so-called journal club presentations and the latter part is discussions and presentations on modern molecular technologies to study protein structure and function and applications thereof. |   |
Requirements for completing the course
Full participation to the lectures. Each participant makes analyses of selected journal articles.

The course is organized every second year in collaboration with UTA and TUT. This year the course is provided by the Institute of Medical Technology (IMT) of UTA.
