Objectives
To be able to analyze and design of active damping systems for vibrating mechanical systems in industry.

Content

1. Passive, semi-active and active damping methods in vibration control.
 
Theory of tunable mass dampers.  Tuning rules of dampers. 
2. State equations for mechanical systems with actuator feedback loops.  Distributed transducers in active vibration control.  Piezoceramic actuators.
