1. Molecular structure, amorphous and crystalline structure of polymers. Introduction to commodity and engineering polymers.       
2. Elastic and viscous deformation, failure of polymers.       
3. Rheology, viscoelasticity and molecular relaxations.       
4. Composition and additives of plastics and elastomers.       
5. Mechanical, thermal, chemical and other properties. Standard materials testing.
