Objectives
You will understand the main terminology and definitions in the field of tissue engineering. You will know the materials and methods of tissue engineering. You can list the components for "living" tissue engineering implant and you can determine their effects on the implant. You will also examine few special characteristics in tissue engineering, diversity of legislation and ethical issues.

    Course is available as a distance learning course and no lectures or exercises are needed. If you wish to do the course, you need to contact lecturer (Ville Ellä) by email. You can start the course twice in academic year, either in the beginning of 1st or 4th period. During the course you should meet supervisor 3-4 times. You need to finalize the course in two periods (either during 1-2 or 4-5).

  • Partial passing of course must be in connection with the same round of implementation.
