Objectives
The goal of this course is to provide an introduction to the characterization of nanoscale surface structure by low energy electron diffraction and scanning tunneling microscopy. The use of supersonic molecular beams surface scattering technique and desorption spectroscopy in the investigation of kinetics and dynamics of elementary surface processes is also discussed.

Requirements for completing the course
Passed final exam and accepted laboratory assignment.
