Objectives
To clarify physical principles, methods and devices of medical imaging.

Content

1. System approach to medical imaging. Image quality parameters. Image formation based on interactions of imaging energy and tissue in a planar and tomographic imaging.  Special imaging techniques.    
2. Methods and devices of x-ray imaging .        
3. Methods and devices of nuclear medicine.        
4. Methods and devices of ultrasound imaging.        
5. Methods and devices of magnetic resonance imaging.       

Requirements for completing the course
Final exam (80%), seminar work and oral presentation (20%).
